Position Overview

FE fundinfo’s Technology team builds and deploys software solutions for our financial market clients. Primarily, this team focuses on the fund data value chain. Agility and innovation are integral to our approach as we bring the latest tools and techniques to our clients: 

  • We are a cloud-first solution provider working with Azure and other cloud platforms 
  • We combine product experts with our UX, development and QA teams to deliver features roadmaps for our products 
  • We are adopting devOpsmodels across all our teams and have invested in pipeline architectures for seamless deployment strategies  
  • Our infrastructure engineers support our development teams with advanced IaCframeworks to provide scale, monitoring and support for our resilience patterns  
  • We develop API families for our products to support greater integration with our clients and partners 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work within the Core Services scrum teams, focusing on development and support of enterprise-level products/services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and refine requirements ahead of development activity
  • Produce documentation in relation to our products/services, helping to aid understanding and accelerate adoption within the developer community

Your Qualifications / Experience Required

  • People & Processes:
    • Experience of working in a Scrum/Agile environment as part of a cross-functional, distributed team, participating in all ceremonies
    • Excellent organisational skills – capable of managing workload and working on multiple initiatives concurrently
    • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders at a senior level
    • Capable of producing detailed documentation, outlining a solution and capturing/covering all necessary requirements both pre- and post-implementation
    • Ability to train/mentor colleagues and lead any necessary knowledge transfer sessions
  • Technologies and languages:
    • Understanding of Microsoft Azure-based development and delivery
    • Yaml Pipelines
    • ARM templates or CLI
    • C# - .Ne t Core, including .Net Framework
    • SQL
    • Git
  • Architectures and Protocols:
    • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns
    • OAuth 2.0 Authentication and Authorising protocols and implementation
    • OpenID Connect protocol
    • Notification frameworks
    • Event driven architectural patterns
    • Extensive experience of building APIs and a strong understanding of best practices

Competitive reward package, role full-time (37½ hours per week) split between our London office and home-from-working (flexibility on split and subject to Covid restrictions).
