Our Operations team is crucial to the success of our industry-renowned customer service function; this function is vital in enabling our clients to achieve their business goals. As the largest team in our company, operations works across every area of the business in varying roles, from data and product experts to customer service specialists. The team is also responsible for the quality and integrity of the investment data on which our clients rely.

The GFR team is an integral part of the operations function at FEf. The GFR team in particular assists clients with the practical, regulatory, compliance and administrative requirements associated with marketing investment funds globally and feeds this back into the company to better service clients.

The team is client facing and has continuous communication with financial regulators, primarily in Europe, but also further afield. We work with a global network of law firms in order to provide our clients and colleagues with the ability to function in a global financial economy.

The team is comprised of specialist regulatory and compliance experts in cross border investment fund distribution providing an outsourced service to of clients’ fund distribution, as well as offering solutions to their funds’ needs within the wider company. The aim is to provide clients with a coordinated solution to all their fund distribution and information needs.

In order to support the continued growth of our team, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Registrations Manager. This role is ideally suited to investment funds professional with a legal, regulatory and/or compliance background.  The position provides a unique opportunity to join an established team in a senior role and to specialise in an area of law and regulatory compliance (predominately European) which is of ever-increasing importance since BREXIT.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

As a Registration Manager you will manage a portfolio of clients and possess an understanding of the various requirements to be considered with regards to fund registration and ongoing regulatory compliance issues and monitoring.  

The individual we are looking for has the following qualities:

  • Is a self-starter with an ongoing interest to further develop the practical knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to financial services and specifically the distribution of funds globally;
  • Possess a detailed understanding of the various issues to be considered with regards to fund registration and ongoing regulatory compliance requirements;
  • Possess excellent legal, compliance, analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail and has the strength to accomplish objectives in a disciplined way;
  • Can provide skilful advice on and support the cross border distribution of various fund ranges across the globe;
  • Is able to train more junior team members (and internal staff who work with the team), about regulatory challenges and client statuses/issues;
  • Possess a strong sense of duty and responsibility;
  • Be flexible, hard-working, disciplined, a meticulous team player and able to perform under pressure;
  • Be confident in dealing with other team members and clients, including presenting to colleagues and clients;
  • Be confident in assessing, communicating and simplifying regulatory change both internally and externally;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

 

Experience Required:

 

The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years’ experience working within the finance/legal, regulatory/compliance role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment, or hold a graduate degree in law, finance, or similar qualifications and possess prior experience in the distribution of investment funds with experience reviewing and interpreting regulatory legislation with particular focus on UCITS, AIFMD and the CBDF.
